  12.     Please help me with a monitor Hack.  I've really been
  13. impressed with the helpfulness and knowledge of the Amiga
  14. community.  Here's my situation:

  16.     I have an Amiga 2500 ECS with a 1084S monitor.  I use Hi-Res
  17. interlace mode all the time and would like to reduce the flicker
  18. (I can't afford a flicker fixer or multisync monitor).  So, I've
  19. downloaded several monitor hacks, such as NT-70 and ITAL36. 
  20. These are modified drivers that I believe increase the scan rate
  21. to 71 Hz and reduce flicker.  I've seen the results of this on my
  22. friend's Amiga and it looks good, his hardware setup is a little
  23. different than mine though, so I can't ask him for help.

  25.     Anyway, the docs for ITAL36 and NT70 say that this hack
  26. works on a 1084 monitor.  I've installed the hacked monitor
  27. drivers, and installed the new screenprefs and monitorprefs (or
  28. whatever).  When I activate the hacked driver, the screen just
  29. flips around like crazy.  Does anyone know how to use these
  30. hacked drivers correctly with a 1084S????  I'd REALLY REALLY like
  31. to know.

  33.     The docs do say that you might have to play with your
  34. Vertical Hold a little bit.  The 1084S doesn't have a Vert. Hold.
  35. knob.  Is there an adjustment knob inside the monitor that I
  36. could adjust with a screwdriver if I opened it up?  I think this
  37. MIGHT be the problem, becuase the screen is flipping vertically,
  38. as well as looks messed-up.
